4. User Content & Intellectual Property
- Your Content: You retain 100% ownership and copyright of all resume text, personal background, work history, projects, and media you upload or create on BuildResume.
- License to Host: By uploading or generating content, you grant BuildResume a non-exclusive license solely to host, process, format, and display your content as necessary to operate the service (e.g. generating PDFs and rendering public portfolio pages per your privacy settings).
- Platform IP: All code, template designs, UI components, typography pairings, logos, and graphics created by BuildResume remain the intellectual property of BuildResume.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use BuildResume to:
- Upload, post, or transmit any fraudulent, defamatory, deceptive, or unlawful content.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent affiliations with past employers or institutions.
- Attempt to compromise the security, integrity, or availability of our servers or automated PDF generation pipeline.
- Engage in automated scraping, bot crawling, or reverse-engineering of the platform without prior written consent.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
BuildResume is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for 100% uptime and maximum ATS parsing compatibility, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or guarantee specific employment outcomes.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BuildResume and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
